Prizes

Photo entries will be judged based on creativity, quality, originality, and overall impact. We are especially considering photos with a human component!

The Grand Prize winner will receive $150 and have their photo featured as the full cover of the the Our 2023 Common Agenda Briefing Book. We will also present three $75  awards for the best photo representing one of our conservation themes:

  • Public Transportation, Walking, & Biking: show us how Virginians are getting around the community
  • Civic Engagement: civic engagement can include attending town halls, voting, testifying, volunteering, or educating on environmental practices
  • Healthy, Equitable Communities: what does a sustainable community look like to you? Whether it’s urban forests, access to green spaces, stormwater management, or agricultural best management practices, show us your best shots of the built environment

The public will vote on the top submitted photos through an anonymous poll in July. Winners will be announced in late July.
