This initiative is designed to inspire VCN’s Partner network to pledge to meet with Virginia Senate and House Candidates so we can increase education on key environmental issues outlined in Our Common Agenda. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, our goal is to educate candidates from both parties in as many districts as possible! This August is the perfect time to meet with your candidate! 

• During the summer months candidates and current legislators have more free time to meet with constituents. 
• With elections around the corner in November, they will be all the more open to hearing Virginians’ concerns. 
• Virginia is facing historic levels of legislator turnover meaning there are lots of new candidates to educate! 
• All candidates both new and returning should be educated on Virginia’s environmental issues ahead of the General Assembly session in January.
