The Virginia Conservation Network once again partnered with BlackOak Collective to host Virginia’s 3rd annual Black In Green: a virtual conservation career panel!
Black In Green seeks to connect young Black professionals launching careers within Virginia’s environmental movement with Black leaders in the environmental field. These career panels offer opportunities for Black students and young professionals to gain career advice and insights from experienced Black environmental leaders.
The Black In Green Conservation Career Panel was held virtually on Wednesday, February 28th, from 5:30 – 6:30 pm.

PARTNERING WITH BLACKOAK COLLECTIVE
BlackOak Collective is a rapidly growing Black environmental networking organization. They combine the power of networking with digital engagement to create a safe space for Black environmental career development, support, and community. Their geographic focus is physically in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) region, and digitally across the US.
VCN and BlackOak teamed up in late 2020 to help expand the pipeline of Black professionals launching careers within Virginia’s environmental movement by connecting talented Black individuals with VCN’s network of 160 conservation and climate organizations.
